Manousakis Winery

Manousakis  Winery is a family-owned, organic boutique winery located in the  village of Vatolakkos, just 20 minutes from Chania, Crete. Founded  by Ted Manousakis, who returned to his ancestral home after years in  the United States, the winery began planting vineyards in 1993 and has  since grown to produce approximately 150,000 bottles annually. The  winery specializes in Mediterranean grape varieties such as Syrah,  Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Roussanne, cultivated using sustainable,  organic practices on the slopes of the Lefka Ori mountains.

Visitors  can enjoy complimentary tours of the winery, which include insights  into the winemaking process and the history of the estate. Tastings are offered on the scenic terrace, accompanied by traditional Cretan dishes from the on-site taverna. The  winery also hosts cultural events, art exhibitions, and private  celebrations, making it a vibrant hub for both locals and tourists.
